I’m just thinning the herd as they say and it’s not a must that this goes but I’d like to see it go to a good home where it will get the love it deserves as this guitar is a absolute dream to play. I’m certain you will find the cheaper versions everywhere and in pretty beat condition and the price will reflect as well. If you’re looking at this then you know what it is. I have allowed for best offer but I have a minimum set on this option so as to not waste my time dealing with low ball offers. Due to condition, age, model, and performance of this guitar, I have priced it where I believe it is worth. This is a early version and a rare one for the books. Certainly great attention to detail was given to this model.
#HOW MUCH DID THE 1988 KRAMER FERRINGTON KFS 1 COST NEW SERIAL NUMBER#
The serial number on the neck plate is F A with the F being for the Ferrington model and the A would typically put this one in the 85-86 time frame (1st run). The KFS-1 & KFT-1 are the models with the triple binding on the body and headstock and special fretboard inlays.įrom what I can find not all of the KFS-1 & KFT-1’s had triple binding on the headstocks and some of the later versions did not and the beak headstock version certainly did not have headstock binding as well. The KFS-2 and KFT-2 are the models with single binding on the body only, and fretboard dot markers. There are not a lot of the higher end versions out there as there weren’t many made as the lower end versions with the single ply binding were the most mass produced of the two models. The only finish flaw I can find on this guitar is on the back and looks to be some slight scratches you can see in the right light at the right angle other than that this guitar is in excellent condition considering the age of this guitar. No major dents, dings or cracks anywhere on this one.

The finish on this guitar is a beautiful tobacco burst and in excellent condition. I’ve owned over 20 of the Ferrington guitars and this one has always been the best playing one out of them all. The guitar plays like a dream and the new owner will not be disappointed I’m sure. The action on this guitar is so unbelievably low without any fret buzz. This guitar model was the top of the line Ferrington model with triple binding on the body and headstock and the neck is fully bound as well with diamond inlays and the Kramer inlay on the 21st fret.
